Assess the glass
New glass can be treated from the start. On existing glass we check its condition first: heavy mineral build-up or etching has to be dealt with before coating, or the coating just seals it in.

Does it mean I never have to clean the shower?
No, it means far less cleaning and much easier cleaning. EnduroShield recommends a weekly wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and a mild detergent. The coating removes the scrubbing, not the routine.
How long does it last, and what is the warranty?
EnduroShield says testing has shown the coating lasting beyond 10 years. Its limited warranty is up to 10 years on new glass applied professionally, 5 years when professionally applied to existing glass, and 3 years for its do-it-yourself kits.
Can you apply it to my existing shower glass?
Usually yes. The glass has to be clean and free of etched mineral deposits first. We will tell you at the assessment whether yours is ready to coat.
Will the coating crack, peel or change how the glass looks?
No. It is transparent and only about two molecules thick, so it is nothing like a lacquer or varnish. It will not crack, peel or discolour.
What should I avoid when cleaning treated glass?
Abrasive pads, steel wool, bleach and harsh chemical cleaners. Strong acids and alkalis are what can damage the coating, so stick to a mild detergent or diluted white vinegar and a soft cloth.
