Bypass or a single sliding door?
A bypass pair gives you the choice of stepping in from either side. A single slider beside a fixed panel is simpler and leaves a wide clear fixed panel. Both are measured and made to your opening.
Do sliding doors leak more than hinged ones?
They have an overlap between panels rather than a single seal, so they are slightly more prone to it. A correctly levelled track, the right seals and a base that drains properly are what keep water inside.
Is the track hard to keep clean?
It is the part that needs the most attention, because it collects soap and mineral residue. Wiping it out occasionally is enough, and an EnduroShield coating keeps the panels themselves much easier.
Clear, tinted or frosted?
Clear keeps the bathroom feeling biggest. Frosted or tinted is worth it if the shower is on show from the doorway or you want less visible water spotting.
